OUR UNIVERSITY COMMEMORATES ATATÜRK ON THE 86TH ANNIVERSARY IN BITOLA WITH RESPECT

On the 86th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's passing, a meaningful commemoration ceremony was held by our university in Bitola. Students and academics of the university gathered at the Military High School in Bitola, where Atatürk spent his youth, to honor the founder of the Republic of Turkey with respect and gratitude.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence at 09:05. During the event, our university’s academics and students held discussions on Atatürk's life, ideas, and educational vision. Following the discussions, the museum section of the Bitola Military High School was visited, where documents and artifacts reflecting Atatürk’s educational journey and the contributions of this period to his character were examined. This event also highlighted the historical significance of Bitola and its surroundings in Turkey's independence struggle.

In the evaluation made by our university's student council, it was emphasized that preserving Atatürk’s memory in the land where he received his education is a proud responsibility. The student council expressed, “Atatürk is an inspiring leader not only for Turkey but for the entire world in the quest for independence and modernization. We are here as a generation that aims for social development with education and science at its core, following the path he laid.” They also stated that commemorating the founder of the Turkish Republic in the very institution where he studied was a great source of pride for them.
