REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR STUDENT RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

Documents and Regulations for Obtaining a Residence Permit for Students Enrolled in Full-Time Education

Foreign students applying for the first time for studies in the Republic of North Macedonia through the embassies of the Republic of North Macedonia (R.N.M.) in their home country must submit the following documents:

• University/Faculty enrollment document

• Study program from the educational institution in which the foreign student is enrolled in the R.N.M., including the duration of studies, conditions for enrollment for each academic year, and the schedule of courses

• Certificate of no criminal record and proof of no ongoing criminal proceedings – issued by the relevant authorities

Required Documents for Student Residence Permit

Foreign students must submit the following documents to obtain a residence permit in the city where they are studying in the Republic of North Macedonia, through the local police station:

• Proof of enrollment (obtained from the university)

• Temporary residence permit document for the R.N.M.

• Insurance policy

• Rental agreement

• Passport and notarized copy of the passport; the passport's validity for all foreign nationals must be at least 2 years

• Certificate of no criminal record

• Proof of sufficient financial resources during the study period (bank account statement)

• Copy of the registration document issued by the police station for residence

• Copy of the passport page with the entry stamp for the R.N.M.

• Photograph (3x3.5 cm)

• Residence permit fee
